The holiday season is here, and with this magical time of year comes the busiest time for travel. Don’t despair; we have five tips to make holiday travel a breeze.
Packing Holiday Gifts
If you choose to fly this holiday season, give yourself the extra piece of mind and do not wrap your gifts unless you prefer TSA to unwrap your perfectly wrapped presents. A better option is to ship gifts ahead of time or purchase gifts from a retailer that will send them to your destination.
Safe Holiday Transportation
Consider these safe transportation options if you travel to a snowy location. Renting an SUV with all-wheel drive is a great option, but chances are, if you wait, there will not be any rental vehicles available. Alternatively, you can reserve safe luxury transportation with Black and Silver Rides in the Denver Metro Area or Colorado Mountain Resorts. Our chauffeurs have experience driving in inclement weather and mountain ranges.
Airport Wait Times
Prepare for very long lines and wait times at the airport. Traveling during off-peak times is a great way to beat the queues. Consider booking tickets for earlier or later flights or opting to fly in before the holiday rush or the day of. If you use our black car service for pickup from the airport, our chauffeurs can meet you inside and help gather your belongings from baggage claim.
Be Prepared
Take care of yourself this holiday season. Traveling can be very hectic and stressful. Remember to bring the following necessities with you, especially if you are traveling to the mountains.
- Water & Snacks
- Neck Pillow
- Cell Phone & Back-Up Charger
- Reading Materials
- Dress in Layers
- Hand Sanitizer
Mountain Getaway
If shredding the gnar is part of your plans this season, consider family-friendly destinations or mountain towns that can accommodate people in your party that will not be skiing or snowboarding.
